The Come Together Motorcycle Run and Benefit

Posted by Site Admin |

ROCHESTER – The Come Together Motorcycle Run and Benefit is scheduled for Saturday, August 9 and is setting a goal of raising $200,000 to assist 15 families who remain homeless two years after the devastating spring floods in New Hampshire.

After conferring with Tim Dupree of Volunteer NH, the Come Together organization felt raising money to help the flood victims was a high priority.

The second annual fund-raiser will feature a daylong event starting with a motorcycle run from Lee Cycle on Route 125 at the Lee Traffic Circle at 10:30 a.m. The run will end at the Rochester Fair Grounds around noon.

From noon to 6 p.m., both for the riders and others who are not riding but wishing to join in the fun, the Come Together group will host family entertainment at the fair grounds.

This year’s event features comedian Jerry Caruso from Las Vegas; the local band Out on Bail; National Male Vocalist and Entertainer for 2008, Jonathan Scott and The Blazing Hearts Band and Johnny Bubar and the Rouge Wolfe Band. In addition to the entertainment, food and other fun for families will be available at the fair grounds.

The fee is $25 to participate in both the motorcycle ride and the afternoon events or $25 for just the afternoon. Children under 12 are free.

Donations to help raise money for the flood victims are tax deductible and may be made at any TD Bank North facility. The fund is titled, “The Come Together Benefit”.
Sponsored by Paul and Paula Lewis, it is hoped enough donations from individuals and businesses will be received by Aug. 9, to reach the $200,000 goal.

“This is a dream of ours to help someone every year, and we want this event to grow, year by year, into the best thing New Hampshire has ever seen and done for New Hampshire by the people of New Hampshire” the couple said in a press release.

For more details contact the Paul or Paula Lewis at 603-608-7026 before 8 p.m. daily.
