Well, fall is defiantly here and the leaf peepers will be out in numbers, so please take the time to be aware of your surroundings. Give yourself extra space between you and the car in front of you. Remember those leaves on the road could be wet and slippery.
Before you know it that white stuff will be covering the ground and the only riding we will be doing is the old couch potato and wishing spring will come soon.
Just because riding season is coming to an end, doesn't mean that motorcyclists' events stop. Check your website (www.nhmro.org) for up coming events and happenings in New England. If anyone knows of an event coming up please contact me, Bob Wyman so I can post it for others to see. This is your website and it is only good as the information that is past on to be posted. A large part of the membership wanted a new look and updated website, we have done as you asked. So now it's time for YOU the membership to step up to the plate and share your information and ideas to make this a better organization. Also spread the word about the website, tell everyone you know to check it out at least once a week, there are always changes and updates.
Remember if you need to order parts for your motorcycle, click on one of our Advertisers, which in return you will be supporting your organization.
For those who are looking to sell your motorcycle, you can post it on the For Sale page until it sells, which is free to current members and $15.00 to non-members.
We now have a Discount Page; on this page is a list of business that offers a discount to NHMRO members who show their current membership card at time of sale.
Those who been looking for motorcycle classes, can now go to our Motorcycle Education page, which you will find State of New Hampshire and M.O.S.T. Inc. information.
Your website is growing more and more each week, be proud of it and use it.
If you lost your membership card ask for a new one. If you are not a member, now is the time to join. For what you can save will cover the cost of being a member.
If you know of a company that wants to advertise on the web have them contact me Bob Wyman 603-817-3961 or e-mail nhharleyman@aol.com.
Now, as your president I am asking you the membership to step up to the plate once more and get on the volunteer list, as to help your organization out at events. We been invited to set up at a lot of events, but had to decline due to no volunteer base. It's a shame that with all the members we have, the list is very short. It's always the same people over and over who help.
I am also looking for county coordinators, people who are willing to go the extra mile and stop by the bike shops and business and drop off tri-folds or news letters or just to see if there is anything we can do for them. If you think you are NHMRO material and have what it takes, then we need you, contact me.
Meetings, now I know everyone has lives to live, but think about it we don't have that many meetings and they are only a couple of hours. Just a couple of hours of your time and your ideas can help out more than you can imagine. This is your organization and we want to hear from you. What better way to meet new people and show your support. Our next meeting will be on Nov 12th at the Deerhead Sportsman Club at 1:30 PM. Come join us and bring a friend.
Bob Wyman your President
