    Salvation Army

HOW MANY PEOPLE DO WE SERVE?
The Salvation Army in Manchester touches the lives of 15,000 different people in the Greater Manchester community every year.
The Salvation Army's Toy Drive is designed to assist needy families with gifts and a food voucher for the holiday dinner. Through our assistance program, we are able to assure that all children will receive presents to open on Christmas morning and that everyone in the household will be able to share in a special meal that day.
Given that we serve nearly 4,000 children each Christmas, we must recive in large quantities and focus on traditional gifts such as board games, trucks, cars and other toys that have general appeal for each particular age group. The age group for gifts most needed, range from 11-15 years old.
Donations should be delivered to The Salvation Army on or before Friday, December 16, 2007.

Christmas in September: Toy drive draws motorcyclists

By SCOTT BROOKS Union Leader Staff Monday, Sep. 11, 2006
MANCHESTER – 'Twasn't the season. 'Twasn't even close, really.
Still, yesterday's fine September weather didn't keep Santa Claus and several thousand of his motor-revving brethren from delivering a little Christmas spirit to the needy children of New Hampshire.

    Cruise For A Cure

My name is Bill Werner and I am a Social Studies teacher at The RSEC Academy. This May we are hosting a very exciting event and would like to ask for your participation.
This past spring, I was given the tremendous opportunity to meet a young boy named Shawn Langley. Shawn was nine years old when we met and was already deemed a hero by those who knew him. This young man experienced more during his time on earth then most of us could ever dream in our lifetime; however, the difference is that his time with us was limited to only nine years.
